about
This song is in memory of Joshua Eddy. For 3 months all of the proceeds went to Josh's ALERT scholarship fund. (alertacademy.com/iaa/ ) We were able to raise almost $200. God is good!
Josh was on this earth for 19 years and is now in the presence of his Maker. He was loved greatly and is missed greatly. This song expresses the pain and yet the beauty of it all. The lyrics were written by his sister, and the music by a close friend.

I’m staring at the door
Waiting for you to walk back through
My tears are falling to the floor
As I sit here thinking about you
Life feels so cold
now that you’re gone
I look for peace in the breaking of the dawn
But all I find
is your face in the sunrise
And it brings tears to my eyes
This hurt in my heart is real
and I am beginning to feel
Like I can’t do this on my own
And I'm calling for someone
Someone to take control
And as I think of you now
All the dreams we planned out
I realize
That I’ve got to let you go
And surrender
this precious dream
As I lay down at night to sleep
Thoughts of you consuming me
Remembering the way it was
Before He called you home
What I wouldn’t give right now
To see you again somehow
To feel your arms
Holding me
As you tell me it’s okay
I've gotta let you go
Because Christ is in control
And He always does what’s best for you and me
This hurt in my heart is real
but I am beginning to feel
Like I can start to live again
Someone has heard my call
He's always had control
And He’ll see me to the end
Oh, as I think of you now
All the dreams we planned out
I realize
That I must surrender
My precious dream
